Android is a mobile operating system developed by Google. It is based on a modified version of the Linux kernel and other open source software, and is designed primarily for touchscreen mobile devices such as smartphones and tablets. The number of smart phone users in India is increasing day by day

This statistic shows the number of smartphone users in India from 2015 to 2022. For 2017, the number of smartphone users in India is estimated to reach 299.24 million 😲, with the number of smartphone users worldwide forecast to exceed 2.3 billion users by that time.So learning Android app development is a good thing and has good scope.

CURRENT  VERSION OF ANDROID

Android "Pie" (codenamed Android P during development) is the ninth major release and the 16th version of the Android mobile operating system. It was first released as a developer preview on March 7, 2018 and released publicly on August 6, 2018.Along with the name change, the number is also slightly different. Rather than following the trend of 7.0, 8.0, etc., Pie is referred to as 9. This probably doesn't mean much in the grand scheme of things, but it's still an interesting move on Google's part.

Important Android Pie updates

APP TIME LIMITS

There’s a lot of new stuff in Android Pie, but for my money, this is the biggest deal. Google is going to show you how much time you spend in every app. And, more importantly, it’s going to let you set time limits on how long you use them.

FEWER NOTIFICATION ANNOYANCES

Notifications are a smartphone necessity. They’re also the absolute worst. Google is trying to do even more in Android Pie to get them out of your face. For one, it’ll suggest muting an app’s notifications if you keep swiping them away. But the even bigger thing is how much it’s beefing up Do Not Disturb.

SCREENSHOT EDITING

This one is overdue, but I’m still very excited about it. In Android Pie, you’ll be able to edit and mark up screenshots after taking them, instead of having to jump over to another app. There’ll also be an option to take a screenshot from the power menu, which will be handy for when you inevitably forget the multibutton shortcut.

SMARTER APP SEARCH RESULTS

Android’s built-in search is getting a lot more capable in Pie. Now, instead of just pulling up icons of installed apps, it’ll be able to pull up things you can do inside of apps, too. So if you search for Lyft, you might also get buttons to hail a ride to your home or office, saving you some extra button presses.
The app drawer will also use that ability to intelligently suggest things for you to do. So instead of just presenting the button for Seamless, it might also show you a prompt to reorder your last meal.
In my next post I will tell about Android app development and free resources to learn Android app development.

Android Q is now in beta....

Like it or not, Pie is already outdated. For 2019, Google's focus is Android Q.
Android Q is currently in beta, and while things will likely change between now and the final release later in the year, a lot of exciting features have already been confirmed. Based on what we've seen so far, Android Q will bring chat bubbles for notifications, a new theming engine, more control over app permissions, and plenty more we don't have time to talk about here.
You can download and use the Android Q beta on a Pixel phone if you'd like, but if you do, just be aware that it's still riddled with a few bugs that may not be great for use as a daily driver.
                          🌝 THANKS EVERYONE STAY TUNED🌝
